At Kubin's Furniture we service what we sell. Most products have a 1 year labor warranty. Products have varying parts warranties. If you have a problem, we have a problem. We will make our best attempt to solve your problem. Warranties cover manufacturing defects, they do not cover normal wear and tear on the product, or improper or commercial use. Warranties do not cover shipping or transportation costs.
When you schedule service with us we will need:
- Your name, address, phone number, and email address.
- The date you purchased, picked up or had delivery of your products.
- Manufacturers name and Model number.
- Serial or identification number of the product (usually found on a tag or sticker under the product).
The product must be returned in clean and sanitary condition. Vacuum and clean anything you want us to repair. We reserve the right to refuse service on items that are not clean and sanitary.
In the 1st Year
No charge for parts or labor when brought back to our store. Please call and schedule drop off so that you do not have to wait and can have timely assistance. $50.00 charge to pick up or deliver products within 20 miles of St. Louis, MI. $3.00 per mile for service not within 20 miles of St. Louis, MI. The transportation charges are waived in the first year if you paid for delivery.
After the 1st Year
$60.00 per hour minimum labor charge. Many, but not all repairs can be made for the minimum charge. $100.00 minimum charge for service done locally in home. If over 20 miles from St. Louis, MI, charge will be $60.00 per hour plus $3.00 per mile, charged one way.
Helpful tips about Mattress Warranty Coverage
For manufacturers defects:
Mattress must be clean, no visible spots on fabric or warranty is void. Most quality mattresses have a 10-Year Warranty. If warranty replacement is required there is a $50 local delivery charge or $3.00 per mile for out of area delivery and pickup. It is normal for a mattress to conform to your body. If there is an indentation of 1.5" or more, the mattress will be considered defective.
If your mattress rolls to the center, check for a center support bar. Queen size require a center support to have a warranty. If you do not have a center support, you may be able to purchase one separately. Many times a mattress may appear defective when the problem is actually from the bed frame or boxspring or foundation. Noise or squeaks or center roll are common problems that might be from improper support. The best way to tell if the issue is with the mattress or the support system is to place the mattress on the floor. If the issue goes away on the floor, it is the frame or boxspring causing the problem. King size beds will develop a "center hump" if they are not quarter turned at least every 60 days. A king mattress is almost square. You should turn the head of the mattress to the right, then to the foot, to the left, and finally back. By rotating in this fashion a center hump will not appear for a longer span of time.
Common Furniture Warranty Coverage:
Fabric and leather- 1 year from date of purchase.
Frame: Many furniture products have a lifetime frame warranty for parts only.
Cushion: Varies by manufacturer.
Springs: Varies by manufacturer.
Reclining Mechanism: Lifetime parts, shipping charges may apply.
In Michigan a lifetime warranty is considered 7 years.
